Tyk is a leading software company (Series B) focused on the API Platform market. Tyk is an open source solution with a product lead growth sales model. Josh Parsons worked for Tyk for 4 fiscal years as VP of Sales and generated 40% average sales growth and +100% net revenue retention. Created Go to Market team of 15 including new logo sales, account management, presales architects, customer success, post sales technical, and sales development. Managed sales /marketing strategy including Enterprise focus, value propositions, playbooks, ICPs, budget, licensing, compensation model.


BDB is a NoSQL, open source database for caching and key file use cases. The product was embedded into applications, devices, and services. BDB was acquired by Oracle in 2007. Josh Parsons establish the Americas, EMEA, APAC GTM teams, including market focus, pricing, open source strategy/pricing, ICPs, compensation plans, partner strategy. Refined licensing model and SLA pricing to respect OSS community as well as drive revenue. Grew sales 40% annually for 4 fiscal years.


TimesTen is an in-memory SQL database for rapid scale and caching. TimesTen was acquired by Oracle. Josh Parsons built the Americas, EMEA, APAC GTM teams; refined target markets/ICPs; hyper focused on three markets {Telco, Financial Services, ISVs}. Built out Enterprise model and focused on global Tier 1 telcos. Grew sales 20% annually for 4 fiscal years.
BEA developed an application server for three tiered architecture. Josh Parsons spent 4 fiscal years with BEA as a senior sales representative managing large global accounts. Lead SAAS based initiative for Global ISVs. Generated over $20M in license for BEA within a fast growth, publically traded company.
